travertine pendant light

Hand-carved stone and warm filament, quietly composed.

The Tsuki is a hand-carved yellow travertine pebble suspended above an exposed filament bulb on a dark braided textile cord. A turned walnut wood bead sits between cord and stone — a small handcrafted detail that completes the composition. It suits bedside pendants hung in pairs, reading nooks, kitchen islands, and any space where a single point of warm, directional light is the intention.

Material

Yellow travertine, walnut wood, braided textile cord

Finish

Natural stone — porous amber surface with fossil veining

Installation

Pendant, ceiling-hung

Bulb type

Exposed filament E27

Voltage

220–240V

Tsuki is hand-carved from natural travertine. Each stone is shaped by geological time — its porous surface, amber veining, and warm fossil texture are entirely determined by nature. No two pieces are identical. Variations in tone, texture, and patterning are inherent to the material and considered part of the object.

Why is the bulb exposed rather than enclosed by the stone?

It is a deliberate design choice. The filament glows beneath the travertine like a lantern, and the stone acts as a natural counterpoint of weight and texture above it. The result is a sculptural composition rather than a conventional shade — the light and the material work together, not against each other.

Can I hang two Tsuki pendants together above a kitchen island or bed?

Yes. The Tsuki is designed to work well in pairs. Hung at matched or slightly varied heights, two pendants create a considered, balanced arrangement. This works particularly well above a kitchen island, a dining table for two, or as bedside pendants on either side of a bed.

What bulb works best with the Tsuki?

A warm white exposed filament bulb — E27 fitting — suits the Tsuki best. The amber tone of the filament complements the natural warmth of the travertine, and the visible bulb is part of the aesthetic. A colour temperature of 2200K to 2700K is recommended for the most natural, calm light quality.

Pendant stone

The Tsuki travertine pebble is hand-carved, meaning each piece varies slightly in form. The stone sits quietly above the exposed filament, compact in scale and sculptural in character.

Best placement

Suited to bedside pendants, reading nooks, kitchen islands, dining spaces for two, and hallways where a single warm point of light is the intention.

Styling note

The amber travertine and walnut wood detail pair naturally with linen, raw oak, aged brass, and washi paper. Designed for calm, considered interiors where every object earns its place.
